Sultan ibn Muhammad ibn Hamzah ibn Imam Musa al-Kazim (A.S.) was martyred in 199 A.H./ 814 A.D. He is buried under a dome in the holy city of Mashhad known as Gonbad Kheshti, which is situated in one of the streets in the east of Shaykh Tabarsi Avenue.
