The Wahabbis and the Zionists have joined hands to destroy the cultural and religious heritage of the Islamic world

Muslims account for almost 1.8 billion of the world’s population, and although the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), founded in 1969 has 57 member states, a great many Muslims, numbering over 450 million, live in countries that are not members, such as India, Russia, China, etc.
The OIC established the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) to safeguard the heritage of Muslims, including buildings, documents, manuscripts, and scientific achievements. But unfortunately ISESCO and related bodies have been silent spectators to the gradual destruction of the Islamic heritage around the world, including in Islamic countries, especially in the Hijaz or the land of Divine Revelation, which is sadly under jurisdiction of the pseudo state called Saudi Arabia, whose seditious Wahhabi regime is systematically destroying all traces pertaining to Prophet Mohammad (SAWA) and his Infallible Ahl al-Bayt.
With the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, a new round of demolitions have started in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, on the pretext of expansion of the sacred shrines, but in reality to build huge western style hotels and shopping malls for fleecing pilgrims of more and more money. The Wahhabi regime, which came to power with British help in the late 1920s and early 1930s, and is now a client of the US, in addition to having secret ties with the Zionists, is notorious for its blasphemous demolition of sacred sites. For instance, in 1925 it sacrilegiously destroyed the holy Jannat al-Baqie Cemetery including the blessed mausoleum where four of the Prophet’s 12 Infallible Successors, repose in peace – that is, Imam Hasan Mojtaba, Imam Zain al-Abedin, Imam Mohammad Baqer and Imam Ja’far Sadeq (peace upon them). The Wahhabis next desecrated and destroyed the sacred Jannat al-Mu'alla Cemetery in Mecca where repose in peace, the Prophet's beloved wife Omm al-Momenin (Mother of True Believers), Hazrat Khadija (peace upon her), the Prophet's uncle and guardian, Hazrat Abu Taleb and the Prophet's grandfather and ancestors (peace upon them). Now according to reports, the Wahhabis have started destroying the house where the Prophet was born and the house where he lived for 25 long years of marital with his wife, Hazrat Khadija (SA). The Bani Hashem locality in Mecca has also been destroyed. In Medina, the Wahhabis are destroying the mosques built by Imam Ali Ibn Abi Taleb.
In the new phase of expansion in Medina, three ancient mosques in the vicinity of the Prophet’s Grand Mosque are on the verge of being demolished. It is worth recalling that during the four centuries of Ottoman Turkish rule over the Hijaz, the names of the Prophet, his daughter, Fatema, her husband Imam Ali and the couple's two sons, Imam Hasan and Imam Husain (peace upon them), along with the nine other Infallible Imam's of the Prophet's progeny, were always inscribed on the Kiswa or the cloth covering the Holy Ka'ba. The names of these 14 Infallible Figures were also inscribed on the walls of the Prophet's Grand Mosque in Medina. But alas, the Wahhabis have erased these holy names.
Damian Thompson writes in the British newspaper Daily Telegraph: suppose that the Church of the holy Sepulture in Bayt al-Moqaddas was to be destroyed on the pretext of building a tower in its place. What will happen? What would be the reaction of the world? Certainly the Christians, as well as Muslims, will protest to any such acts, and probably politicians and academics will support them. But why are there no protests to the acts of demolition of the sacred sites of Muslims in the heart of the Muslim World, that is, the cities of Mecca and Medina?
Jerome Taylor in an article in the weekly issue of the British daily, 'Independent' writes that 10 years ago a historical mosque was dynamited by the Saudis, who are seen rejoicing, in the photos published of this sacrilegious incident. Taylor asks the reason for this joy and the lack of protest by the Muslim world.
Recently, the Saudi regime bulldozed two historical cemeteries in Mecca and Medina. These were the cemetery of the martyrs of the Battle of Harrah in 63 AH, against the forces of the Omayyad tyrant Yazid, and the cemetery of Fakh near Mecca where the graves of the Prophet's descendents, the Martyrs of the Fakh Uprising of 169 AH against the tyrannical Abbasid caliph, Hadi al-Abbasi, are situated. This is proof of the blasphemy of the Wahhabis, whose sacrilegious record include the destruction of the tomb of the Prophet's martyred uncle, Hamza in Ohad, along with graves of the noble martyrs of the crucial Battle of Ohad against the Arab infidels. It implies that the Saudis are following the footsteps of the pagan Arabs in their hatred of Islam, and the Prophet's family.
The Cultural Chief of Iran’s Organization of Endowment and Charity Affairs, Hojjat al-Islam Ahmad Sharaf-Khani in this regard says: such acts are carried out in the entire Islamic world. In some countries, the extremist Wahabbis openly burn libraries and manuscripts and in some countries, where direct destruction is not possible, the written heritage of the Islamic world, is being destroyed through clandestine acts like stealing and burning. For instance, recently a Wahabbi group destroyed the tombs of a number of Sufi saints in Timbuktu in the western African country of Mali. Timbuktu, because of its unique ancient Islamic monuments is on the list of UNESCO's World Heritage. But the Wahabbi group’s spokesman brazenly said that such monuments will be destroyed, whether or not they are on the UNESCO world heritage list. Prior to this, 9 ancient building including the Seyyed Yahya Mosque was destroyed by the group.
Along with the Wahabbis, the Zionists are also indulging in the destruction of the cultural heritage of Islam and their main targets are Bayt al-Moqaddas and the al-Aqsa Mosque. Recently the Zionists have embarked on widespread tunneling underneath the al-Aqsa Mosque and the al-Wad Street on the pretext of repairing the infrastructure. The Zionists are also tunneling under the al-Boraq Mosque and according to al-Alam network, these two tunnels and the tunnels which were earlier dug by the Zionists are actually part of the project for what Israel calls rebuilding of the supposed Temple of Solomon. The Zionist usurpers have made no secret of their plans to destroy the al-Boraq and al-Aqsa Mosques one day. Now they have started work to replace the historical Afzaliyyah Islamic Seminary with a synagogue. The member of the Palestinian Legislative Council Ahmad Atwan told al-Alam that this is all part of the plan of the Zionists to destroy the al-Aqsa Mosque.
Recently, a historical rock weighing 5 tons at the southeastern corner of al-Aqsa Mosque was stolen by the Zionists and placed in the yard of a synagogue a few days later, claiming that the rock was a relic of the ancient Solomon Temple. Earlier also, several huge stone slabs were stolen from al-Aqsa Mosque and used in other buildings. The Zionists spare no effort for destroying the Islamic heritage in the usurped land of Palestine. They are using chemical substances while tunneling underneath the al-Aqsa Mosque so as to speed up the erosion of the adjoining areas and stone columns. Such chemical substances cause implosion and collapsing of the structures. As a result a huge hole has developed underneath the al-Aqsa Mosque complex. Head of the al-Aqsa Mosque’s Manuscripts Section, Najeh Bukirat, says the digging is aimed at weakening the foundations of al-Aqsa Mosque. Thus, as is clear, the Wahabbis and the Zionists have joined hands to destroy the cultural and religious heritage of the Islamic world, and if UNESCO and ISESCO refuse to take action against the Saudis and the Israelis, it will be an irreparable loss for the entire world.
