Islamic Research Foundation

This research and cultural foundation was established in 1363 Solar Hijrah / 1984 and at present 135 learned Islamic seminary and university professors, translators and researchers are working in different research departments of this foundation The research departments are as follows:
The Holy Qur'an; Hadith (traditions); Fiqh (jurisprudence); Nahj al-Balagah; Kalam (theology) and Philosophy; Editing of Old Islamic Texts; Islamic Literature and Culture; Translation of Arabic Texts; Geography of Islamic Countries; Translation of English Texts; Translation of French Texts; Translation of German Texts; Children's Literature and Adult Literacy; Graphics; Publication Department; Audio- Visual Section; Bihar al-Anwar; Rijal (biography); Islamic Astronomy; Islamic History; Islamic Economics; Meshkat Journal; Bibliography; Young Adults; Computers and Reference Library.
During the last 16 years of incessant efforts in the different fields of Islamic sciences, this foundation has published 880 titles of books with a circulation 1,500,000 copies.
Some of the publications of this foundation have been awarded the following National Awards.
a) The Year Book of Islamic Republic of Iran (6 titles)
b) The Year Book of Iranian Universities (7 titles)
c)The Year Book of the Holy Quran Fair 1994 and 1995.
d) Achieved the title of "Exemplary Publisher" of Islamic Republic of Iran in 1994.
Until now this foundation has also conducted three international seminars on the "Geography of the Islamic Countries", "Study of Islamic Economics" and "Books and Libraries in Islamic Civilization. The scholars of this organization regularly participate in various national and international seminars.
The foundation also publishes various specialized journals like Meshkat, Geographical Research, Historical Studies, Persian Treatises and Fresh Learners in Persian.
The Meshkat magazine is the official organ of this foundation and 66 issues of this magazine have been published upto the present time.
Since last 15 years this foundation is also publishing a diary every year with the title "Quds Diary" which is the largest circulating diary in Iran.
