International Relations Office

The International Relations Office was established in line with the special and great emphasis put by the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi on granting welfare services and facilities to the pilgrims, and spreading Islamic Understandings in the world. The mentioned office has been established with the objectives of carrying out international cultural-propagation activities and granting think services to the Muslims of the world.
Offering necessary information about famous Iranian and foreign dignities, and cultural, scientific and business centers and also about the present position of Muslims in the world is the main responsibility of this office. The International Relations Office has established various communications with the other international centers in abroad. Also it guides foreign pilgrims in the Sacred Premises of the Holy Shrine.

The following is a list of activities run by this office:
Guiding foreign pilgrims and offering necessary information to the Non-Iranian pilgrims and tourists.
Accompanying foreign pilgrims to the Sacred Premises and offering necessary explanations about the Holy Shrine and the activities run by Astan Quds Razavi.
Offering complete instructions about the pilgrimage, arts of worship and also about the philosophy of pilgrimage to the pilgrims and answering their questions in this regard.
Giving various copies of the glorious Quran and some of the other Islamic books in different languages, and also various photos and posters about the Holy Shrine to the foreign pilgrims as the special gifts of Astan Quds Razavi.
Removing and solving pilgrims' problems as much as possible with the cooperation of the personnel working in this office.
Providing and compiling different books with various Islamic subjects for the foreign pilgrims and also distributing guidebooks and brochures about the holy city of Mashhad, and Astan Quds Razavi among pilgrims.
Providing and purchasing Islamic books in different languages published by the Islamic Research and Publication Centers, and offering them as a gift to the foreign pilgrims or sending these books to the Islamic Centers in abroad.
Providing guidebooks and brochures in different languages for the foreign pilgrims.
Cooperating with the Tourist Agencies in offering more cultural services to the tourists and foreign pilgrims.
Cooperating with the Islamic Propagation Management of Astan Quds Razavi in carrying out cultural-propagation activities envisioned for the foreign pilgrims.
Receiving many letters from abroad, and translating them into Farsi and sending them to the authorities for answering the questions made by the senders.
Sending the Islamic books to those applicants residing in abroad.
Gathering and preserving the addresses and characteristics related to the Muslim and non-Muslim Thinkers residing in abroad.
Providing and gathering necessary information about the Islamic countries, the position and conditions of the Muslims living in the world.
Gathering and preserving the addresses and characteristics of the cultural, research and religious centers of the world.
Offering this information to those researchers who are studying about different countries of the world.
Communicating and exchanging views with the cultural-religious centers and gatherings, and also with the Muslim scientific dignities of the world.
Communicating and exchanging views with the official centers in abroad, including: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Islamic Guidance and Culture, and the Organization of Culture and Islamic Communications.
Communicating and exchanging views with the non-governmental cultural centers working in this regard.
Studying and carrying out various researches and taking counsel with the research centers in order to supply new plans.
