Printing and Publication Organization

Since the publishing and cultural activities of the Astan Quds Razavi and its related organizations is getting expanded regularly, Astan Quds Razavi decided to establish a printing press assisted by the experienced personnel to accomplish the task. After the experts studies in this regard the printing press started its functioning since 1983.
The main and important purpose of this institution is to publish and print useful books and literature about Islamic sciences, fulfilling the needs of the Islamic seminaries and universities, rendering printing services to Astan Quds Razavi and its affiliated organizations as well as other government and private organizations and offices. This institution till the end of 1999 while providing the printing services to the above-mentioned offices and organizations printed 2530 titles of books with a circulation of ten million copies in different fields of Islamic sciences, medicine, humanities, engineering, agriculture, social sciences, basic sciences and arts.
1650 titles with a circulation of 7248000 have been printed and published in Khorasan province during the year 2002 , of which 30 percent have been printed by Press and Publication Organization of Astan Quds Razavi.
The industrial printing of the institution enjoys the best quality among printing institutions in Iran.The high quality of printing processes in this institution has caused the other provinces including Tehran , East Azerbaijan , Isfahan , Fars and Semnan provinces and also the other countries including Kazakhstan Republic and Afghanistan has their orders to this institution to publish books.
The praise Tablet of the Tenth period of the Book Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran was presented to the Managing Director of the Press and Publication Organization of Astan Quds Razavi during a special ceremony . This Praise Tablet , provided by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance , was granted to this institution for publishing 508 titles of books with a circulation of 2404000 during the year 2002 .
In order to render printing services and fulfil the printing needs of the industries on various kinds of cellophanes, plastics and papers, this institution in 1997 imported two flexo-graphy printing machines and two roll-sheeter machines from Germany and Italy and put them into operation the same year. Its worth mentioning that this institution at present has the capacity to publish six books of 300 pages each every week. This institution is also equipped with the composing and binding units.
