Hajj and Islamic Unity

The Supreme Leader Ayatullah al-Uzma Sayyid Ali Khamenei while reckoning Islamic unity a religious obligation and a considerable and important matter in the eyes of Islam, interprets various religious laws and divine teachings a means for restoration of unity among Muslims. The open religious law that highlights the Islamic unity and which plays a significant and basic role for making the Islamic unity to come into existence, is the religious obligation of Hajj. His Excellency, the Leader advices and insists all the Muslims to take fully the advantage of the capacity and capability of Hajj which is the manifestation of Unity of Islam. And let this spiritual environment to become a source of closeness to the standards of unity and vanishing of enmity.
Hajj - A Factor of Islamic Unity
Hajj is the factor for communal harmony and a factor of Muslims unity. The enemies of Muslims and Islam don’t want to see Muslims united, because if these people are united they will be strong and powerful and will achieve distinction in various fields and this will put the enemy into trouble. Therefore, these people want to divide them. They are creating religious and ethnic crises and conflicts and are raising the issues of national extremism among nations vis-à-vis Iranian, Arabian, Turkish, Pakistani, Shia and Sunni etc. They present and project this kind of differences as major issues and encourage them so that they are in a position to erect walls between us and make a suspicious environment to come into existence, lest we my get united and launch a full-fledged movement against them.
They try that the nations may not be in a position to restore their mutual relations and the hearts may not come close to each other, because if hundreds of hearts may get acquainted with each other, they will become one. When the hearts will come close, there will be one heart, one determination and one decision, which these people dislike. Therefore, these people encourage Shia and Sunni and different sects to adopt extremism with regard to their own peculiarities and unfortunately they are having the sources of provocation which are lying everywhere. Perhaps these are much more found at other places. You have to control it.

“Holdfast unto the Rope of Allah” 3:103
Hajj is also an exposition of ‘Rope of God’. All need to holdfast this Rope of God altogether. Let all of you be together. Not only you Iranians need to be united, rather the whole Islamic Ummah need to be united. The black and white people of Africa, Asia, and Europe, wherever in the world they are, need to be united. This is the magnificent and the general outlook of the world.
Hajj should be the Paradigm of Unity and Not A cause of Differences
The Hajj need to be a paradigm of unity and not a cause of division. If the objective is to assemble at a place and condemn and humiliate each other, then what is the fun of this congregation? Even if there exists any mutual difference, still it is not a place to get its exposed. As God has ordered ‘be assembled’ so that áöیóÔúªóÏõæúÇ ãóäóÇÝöÚó áóªõãú “they may witness the benefits [provided] for them”. 22:28
It suffices to say for some people that they were having misunderstanding, because if we perceive negatively then it can be otherwise too. These people seem to be using Hajj as a tool for showing their hegemony, rigidity and in opposition with each other about Shia-Sunni and ethnic and tribal differences and these people try to express their wrath and anger. To what extend these people try to make us understand that we may believe as today the Shia-Sunni differences is the prime issue than before for which the enemies of Islam have begun to make their investments and are ready to spend a massive amount for the provocation of Shia-Sunni conflicts. There are some stupid people who are working free of charges for fulfilling the objectives of the imperialism without getting any financial benefit. After all why is it so? This is a type of mistake about which we don’t know whether God will forgive it or not. God assembles all the Muslims at a place so that the manifesting benefits such as feeling of unity, integrity and harmony comes into existence. Presently we are in such a gathering which has been provided for creating a feeling of alienation; simply to create and intensifying menaces and grudges. Isn’t it the resentment against God? I am not making any evaluation but just want to brief you that we know the imperialistic agents have been posted even at the centers like this to get the differences intensified. It means that such people have been posted there whose job is to find out any hallow pretext from any Shia and create a scene, spread nuisance, make abuses and humiliation and generate conflicts.
Even if we hadn’t been aware about it still the analysis indicate about the facts as there is no reason as why the enemies of Islamic unity may not take an advantage of this great eventuality and the event of Hajj. We are aware of the fact that why the people have been deployed for this purpose. You people need to be aware and don’t let yourself to be entrapped. Iranian people, whether Shia or Sunni, need to be cautious and never let themselves to be entrapped.
