Zehn (Journal on the Study of Epistemology in Islam)
This journal, which is being published regularly by the Institute for Culture and Islamic Thought, Tehran, Iran, is the only journal solely dedicated to epistemological articles. Its objective is reinvestigating, rephrasing, extending, expanding and deepening the fundamentals of Islamic epistemology. It aims to make a comparative study, as well as evaluation, of the various schools and theories of classical and contemporary epistemology, broadening the scope of “association of ideas” and “interaction of opinions” in the field of epistemology together with establishing vibrant and constructive relations between local and international thinkers. It also aims to explain the common points of the basics and essentials of various ideas as well as epistemological theories opposed to Islamic religious and philosophical thought and to answer the questions posed. This journal also takes into consideration other disciplines related to epistemology, such as cognitive sciences, theology, hermeneutics, etc.In each issue, Zehn tackles a new subject in the area of epistemology.
